Up here is a vintage Wahl-Eversharp FIFTH AVENUE 64 fountain pen and pencil SET, which was manufactured in USA circa 1930s.
The pen set comes with original leads box, leather box, outer paper box and certificate papers. The pen measures 5-1/4 inches with cap-on, SENIOR version of the series.
This is a RARE item, a DING-FREE SOLID GOLD CAP with maroon burgundy body. The pen bears twin-tassie, with gold cap on both ends. The cap is in nice DING-FREE condition, with only very minor wear due to age. There are also some wears on the barrel due to age. At the top of the cap is embossed ‘EVERSHARP 14K SOLID GOLD PAT. MADE IN U.S.A.’. On the pocket clip is a ‘DOUBLE-TICK’ emblem, representing Eversharp lifetime warranty.
The pen bears a 14ct solid gold nib. A new ink sac is fitted. The lever filling system is in perfect working order; and the pencil is also in working condition.
The pen set has been serviced and tested for full functionality. This Wahl Eversharp is a classic elegance and has been produced to the highest standards of craftsmanship, technology and aesthetics. This is rare and very much sought after, of such a collectible and vintage pen in excellent condition
