Up here is a vintage Boston Moore 96-B Finger-tip fountain pen, which was manufactured in USA circa 1930s. The pen is in EXCELLENT MINT NEW condition, without any damage only showing minor wear due to age. The pen is indeed an NEW OLD STOCK, with the intact original price tag still at the back of the cap reads ’96-B $8.75 FINE’. The Moore Fingertip Pen is a design response to the popular Parker 51, but does not stand apart on its own merits. The pen was not a success, eventually lead to the demise of the company. Yet this pen is only produced a short time between 1946-1950 hence highly collectible. The pen is in stunning and rare solid dark red burgundy with gold trim. On the pocket clip of pen is the brand ‘MOORE’ embossed. The imprint on the barrel is crisp with patent number. The pen bears a Moore Fingertip 2-tone 14ct solid gold nib. There is slight brassings on the nib. A new sac has been fitted and the lever filling system is in full working order. The pen has been serviced and tested for full functionality.
